ABOUT THE ARTWORK. In this Regatta subseries, bold sails rise and dissolve within layered fields of color, capturing the energy and openness of the sea. Inspired by the sight of a regatta blurred by water and light, these compositions transform shifting weather and atmosphere into vibrant Fine Art expression. The rhythm of wind and current moves through each piece, while bright fields of light bring balance and calm. Psychedelic tonalities heighten the mood, amplifying contrasts and intensifying motion and emotion. Distinct silhouettes appear and fade like fleeting reflections, suggesting both direction and freedom, as though the ocean itself pauses to breathe. Created in the language of Fiber Fine Art, layered textures and vibrant contrasts echo the sea’s ever changing surface. Long wavy fiber threads show the wind's strength and motion, elevating abstraction into a poetic and meditative vision.
